Edge Foundation

Edge Foundation

Apprenticeships Work is Edge Foundation’s new campaign to encourage more SMEs to hire apprentices — helping to unlock opportunity and drive local economic growth. SMEs make up 99.8% of UK businesses and 60% of jobs, and they play a crucial role in offering apprenticeships to young people, particularly outside major cities. Yet, since the Apprenticeship Levy was introduced, the number of apprentices employed by SMEs has dropped by 17 percentage points. We’re calling on Government to remove the barriers holding SMEs back, while spotlighting the benefits of apprenticeships and showcasing the brilliant initiatives already making an impact. We’d love for you to join us as a campaign partner to show your support and share your work contact [email protected] for more info.
